Overview

Single sign-on (SSO) allows users to sign in once to access all the applications they have been authorized to use. SSO provides companies with the following benefits:

  • Saves costs resulting from fewer service desk calls related to login failure
  • Improved user satisfaction resulting from an elevated user experience
  • Improved user productivity resulting from not having to remember dozens of credentials
  • Improved security
  • Simplified compliance

OpenIAM provides a flexible and easy to use SSO solution. The features are described below.

Feature Details

IdP with SAML 2, oAuth 2, and OIDC

Integrate your applications into a central Identity Provider (IdP) using industry standards. Sign-in once and access applications regardless  of the federation protocol.

Reverse proxy to SSO to legacy applications

Enable legacy applications to be accessed through SSO by using the reverse proxy (rProxy). The rProxy supports form-fill, header injection and URL rewriting.

Kerberos support

SSO to applications on Windows using Kerberos.

Manage access based on authorization policies

Access to applications is enforced using authorization policies.

Browser-based SSO dashboard

Users can easily access their applications using the browser-based SSO dashboard.

Native MacOS and Windows SSO dashboard

MacOS and Windows users can enable the desktop SSO dashboard which is an agent that is always active. SSO to any application in just two clicks.

User access auditing

All access to applications is tracked by the central auditing system to support compliance activities.
